HomeAway acquired several smaller vacation rental companies and was itself acquired by Expedia. Throughout the process, the company faced common, but perplexing problems associated with multiple acquisitions in large enterprise environments.
HomeAway solved several of those issues at scale, initially using Java, and then with Node.js and NodeSource, to accelerate their global vacation rental platform.
